CISCO Certified Network Professional - CCNP

This CCNP course consists of 3 parts, Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE 300-101), Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks (SWITCH 300-115), Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks (TSHOOT 300-135). Students will learn to plan, implement, verify, troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions required in enterprise roles. Students will gain the knowledge and skills to configure, manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN with expanding on IPv6, Cisco StackWise, VSS, and DMVN technologies. The curriculum also includes newly added technologies, DMVPN, StackWise, VSS, IPv6 expansion, and performance. Students will learn the use of the following protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Serial Line Interface Protocol, VLANs, VTP, STP, PVST, MST, Ethernet channels, and network security.

Occupational Goal:

  • Network Engineer
  • IT Systems Engineer
  • Systems Engineer
  • IT Manager

Different Work Settings:

CCNP’s use advanced IP addressing and routing implementing scalable and highly secure routing solutions to support enterprise networks. Implement and configure an EIGRP based solution.  Create a multi-area OSPF Network and configure OSPF routing. Implement an eBGP based solution and configure eBGP routing.  Setup an IPv6 based solution and document implementation results. Implement and configure an IPv4 or IPv6 redistribution solution. Create Layer 3 path control solutions and broadband connections. Determine the necessary resources and implement VLAN based solution. Plan and implement a security extension of Layer 2.  Design and configure Switch based Layer 3 services.  Implement advanced VoIP, video, and wireless support solutions.  Implement High Availability and confirm using show & debug commands. Maintain the network and develop a plan to monitor performance. Troubleshoot Multi Protocol systems, such as EIGRP, NAT, and OSPF.
