This program covers the tools, and tactics necessary to manage cybersecurity risks, identify various types of threats, evaluate the organization’s security, collect and analyze cybersecurity intelligence, and handle incidents as they occur.  Students learn to analyze, plan, protect, and carry out security measures to protect an organization’s computer networks, and hardware devices, from cybercriminals and hackers seeking to cause damage or steal sensitive information.

Work Settings:

 

Protect an organization’s network and data infrastructure from security breaches, suspicious activities, malware attacks, ransomware, or DDoS attacks. Monitor a company’s network, implement firewalls, and create contingency plans for information systems. Assess and respond to security threats, operate a system and network security analysis platform.
